Ayurveda packaging: plastic-free mycelium for jars and gift sets
Premium Ayurveda brands need packaging that protects glass jars and bottles, looks considered on the doorstep, and matches a natural product story. Dharaksha Ecosolutions is India’s largest mycelium packaging manufacturer, based in Faridabad. Founded by Arpit Dhupar, we grow compostable mycelium inserts for oils, churnas, balms and ritual kits, then ship them with corrugated cartons and gift boxes so your Ayurveda packaging stays plastic-free from warehouse to customer.
Built for Ayurveda product shapes
Ayurveda ranges mix heavy glass jars, slim oil bottles and multi-item gift sets. Mycelium is moulded to each cavity, so jars of ghee-based balms, honey blends and herbal pastes sit still in transit. For dedicated jar protection see our glass jar packaging for ghee and honey page. Beauty-adjacent SKUs can share tooling ideas with sustainable cosmetic packaging.
Why mycelium fits Ayurveda brands
- Natural story: grown from agricultural residue, not fossil foam.
- Drop-tested: breakage for glass jars kept under 1% in our tested formats.
- Compostable: customers can dispose of the insert without plastic waste.
- Gift-ready: pairs with monocartons and rigid boxes for festivals and subscriptions.
Cold chain for oils and perishables
Some Ayurveda and wellness SKUs need temperature control. ParaChillâ„¢ mycelium ice boxes offer k = 0.032 W/m·K insulation versus about 0.0365 W/m·K for thermocol, with about 20% longer cold hold.
How we work with Ayurveda brands
Send your SKU list and current thermocol or pulp inserts. We design mycelium fitments, send a free sample, and scale in Faridabad for India D2C and export. Read more on mycelium packaging in India or talk to us on the contact page (+91 92173 09172).
Ayurveda packaging design that still ships hard
Design agencies often lead with visuals. We lead with drop height, jar weight and courier reality. An Ayurveda brand that sells 500 ml glass jars of ghee or herbal pastes needs an insert that grips the shoulder and base, not only a beautiful sleeve. Mycelium gives you both: a natural surface that fits the category story, and a structure that survives Indian and export lanes.
Common SKUs we pack: hair oils, face oils, balms, churnas, honey-based products, and seasonal ritual kits. Outer packs can be kraft monocartons, rigid gift boxes for premium launches, or plain shippers for marketplace fulfilment. Honeycomb board adds pallet strength when you move wholesale cases to modern trade.
Replace thermocol without changing your printer
Most Ayurveda teams already have a carton printer. Keep them. Swap the thermocol or pulp tray for a mycelium insert grown in Faridabad, test one SKU, then roll the rest. When you are ready, we can take over corrugated shippers too. See the thermocol alternative page for the material comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Can one insert hold a multi-product Ayurveda kit?
Yes. We mould multi-cavity inserts for kits and then nest them in a monocarton or gift box.
Do you replace only the foam or the whole box?
Either. Many brands keep their printed outer and swap the insert first, then move outer cartons to our corrugated line.
Is this suitable for export Ayurveda brands?
Yes. See export packaging for overseas lanes.
