Compostable packaging in India: mycelium, paper and cold chain
Brands searching for compostable packaging in India usually want two things at once: real protection in courier and freight, and a pack their customers can dispose of without plastic guilt. Dharaksha Ecosolutions is India’s largest mycelium packaging manufacturer, based in Faridabad. Founded by Arpit Dhupar, we grow compostable mycelium inserts and insulated boxes from agricultural residue, and pair them with paper honeycomb board and corrugated cartons so your full pack can move away from foam.
What compostable packaging means here
Our mycelium packaging is home-compostable: after use, customers can break it up and return it to soil. Paper honeycomb and corrugated board are fibre-based and widely recycled or composted depending on local systems. We do not sell plastic “oxo-degradable” films dressed up as green. If you need a biodegradable packaging manufacturer in India that actually moulds parts at scale, start with mycelium.
Compostable formats we make
- Mycelium inserts and trays for jars, bottles, cosmetics and electronics. See mycelium packaging in India.
- ParaChillâ„¢ compostable ice boxes for medicine, seafood and food cold chain. See the mycelium ice box.
- Paper honeycomb board for pallets, partitions and heavy protection. See honeycomb board.
- Corrugated shippers and monocartons as plastic-free outer packs from Faridabad. See corrugated boxes.
Insulation without foam
Compostable does not have to mean weak on temperature. ParaChillâ„¢ mycelium ice boxes have a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/m·K versus about 0.0365 W/m·K for EPS thermocol, and hold cold about 20% longer in our trials. That makes them a practical biodegradable ice box for Indian and export cold chain.
Who buys compostable packaging from us
Premium Ayurveda, cosmetic and perfume brands use mycelium inserts inside gift boxes. Food brands shipping ghee, honey and glass jars use drop-tested mycelium to cut breakage. Exporters shipping into Europe use compostable inner packs as part of a wider plastic-reduction plan. Read our eco friendly packaging manufacturer in India page for the full range.
